Clickworker is a site i’ve been trying out for a couple of weeks now and i still can’t decide if i like it or not!
What is it?
Clickworker is a site that offers a variety of small jobs that need completing on a first come, first served basis. The pay isn’t a huge amount but it can add up if the jobs are there. The main issue is that the good jobs can be sporadic and often when they are there everyone is trying to access them and the website can be buggy and slow. On the plus side there are often some very easy jobs that you can dip in and out of, i recently made about £60 doing simple tasks for a well known, image based company.

When do i get paid?
Clickworker say they pay weekly but i have had issues with this. Firstly, i had to verify my Paypal account which i didn’t realise so i missed the first payment date, doh! Secondly i was due a payment this week but have had an email to say that due to ‘technical difficulties’ they won’t be able to pay us until next week <sigh>. I do know other people that have worked for them a lot longer than me though and apparently they are normally reliable payers. So i shall give them the benefit of the doubt this time and keep waiting.

It sounds a bit too good to be true doesn’t it? That’s what i thought at first!
However, i have been working for a company called UserTesting for more than a year now and it’s one of my favourite ways of making money.
What is it?
The work is testing a website or mobile app to see how user friendly it is. It basically involves following a link to a live website or a prototype. You will then be given tasks to complete on the website. Whilst you are doing them you must ‘think out loud’, giving your opinion of the website and how easy the tasks are to complete. Your screen and voice will be recorded whilst doing this, but no images of you or a webcam is needed.
You will need to install UserTesting software onto your computer to complete the tests. If you want to take part in mobile testing as well then you also need to install their phone app.
You can also take part in live conversations which pay better at $60 but that’s not my thing (social anxiety!) so i have never tried it.
So how do i sign up?
Visit this link https://www.usertesting.com/be-a-user-tester and enter your email address. You will have to complete a test which will be reviewed and then hopefully you’re in. No interviews needed though so it’s pretty easy to get started. Sadly there is no referral program or i would be rich by now telling everyone how awesome it is!
When do i get paid?
UserTesting pay 7 days to the minute after you have completed the test. I have never had a problem with payments, they are excellent and very prompt. Sometimes the companies rate your test too but that is rare at the moment.
Swagbucks has been around a long time in internet terms so it must be doing something right. It also has a great deal of positive reviews.
So, what is Swagbucks? Well, to me, it seems to be a million ways to make extra cash all in one place. You earn Swagbucks which can be redeemed for a variety of gift cards including Paypal and Amazon.

I like it because it is so varied. There is also a browser extension you can install to earn more Swagbucks if you use their search engine. Also, it notifies you if cashback is available on any page you visit. This is really worth having as you get a pop up reminder.

When you think of mining cryptocurrency you probably immediately think of Bitcoin. The trouble with Bitcoin is that mining for it now requires huge amounts of computer power and it is out of reach of most people. Not to mention the mammoth electricity bill. If only you’d got in early when it was pretty much unheard of and much easier to mine.
The good news is there’s a new kid on the block. Pi. The idea behind Pi is that it will be secured and operated by everyday people. The good news is that it’s in the early stages so if you get in now and it becomes big like Bitcoin then you will be rich!
All you have to do is download the app on your phone (IOS or Android) and click into it once a day to prove you are a real person rather than a bot. It then runs in the background. It does not drain your battery or have any other adverse effects. You will need an invitation code but you can use mine (mining4pi).

Gener8 is something i have recently discovered via a facebook advert. At first i was sceptical but i have researched and tested it out and it all seems to be above board. I also now have an amazon gift card as a result.
So, what is it?
Well, the idea is that instead of seeing normal adverts while you surf they are replaced by Gener8’s adverts and they will pay you to see them. This is done via a browser extension which can currently be added to Chrome or Firefox. I’m using it on Chrome and it doesn’t seem to have an adverse affect on performance.
You collect tokens while you browse and once you have referred a couple of friends you have access to the marketplace where you can exchange the tokens for goods and gift cards. My £5 giftcard was 50 tokens which i can easily collect in a week of normal browsing.
Currently the marketplace is limited but when they reach 50K users they will start to sell advertising space and the rewards should be better. Users currently stand at over 25k.
